Best restaurant in Hanoi, Vietnam - Verticale!

Hummm…This moon fesival I escaped to Vietnam for 9 whole days! I had heard soo much about this restaurant called Verticale in Hanoi. My friends who has visited Vietnam before me just went on and on and on…you get it…So of ’cause I just HAD to see what the fuss was about. In fact one of my friends had gone back just to eat there again. Do u blame me for finding out where this was? After the whole day of turisty stuff. I got all decked up as this place has a reputation for Presidents going to eat there after all! What if that was the night I bumped into Gorge Cloony(Imagine that in Vietnam) one never knows. Never hurts to be prepared. Anyway after the taxi took us around and around the block God knows how many times;we made it. Later we found out that from where I was staying(the Metropole-where else) to Verticale it was just 5 min!! I was in the cab for a good 40min. Hummph! ok, ok ! where was I ? Ah the restaurant. It is in an old French Villa nothing pretentious and nothing grand. I loved  loved loved the food.I think me and my friend will be making many trips back to Hanoi to eat there again.Chef Didier Corlou is so passionate about what he does. It’s amazing! The cuisine is French Vietnamise and realllly delicious. The tastes are superb. I can’t tell you enough about how good the food is…u just HAVE to go there if you ever visit Hanoi. I promise you will love it. Who knows you might be taking trips back like my friend and now –  me just to eat there again I did not bump into Gorge Cloony…but u never know so go prepared.
